Public Comment Submission & Guidelines
General Guidelines

Public Comments should be directed to the City of Pico Rivera City Council. Public Comments are most useful if they directly relate to a City Council agenda item and address the decision criteria for the type of case.

The City of Pico Rivera welcomes the community's input on matters being considered by the City Council or its Boards and Commissions through its e-Public Comment portal: Create a case
 
Please include any attachments or supporting documentation that you to provide to the City Council.

NOTE: All comments submitted are subject to disclosure under the Public Records Act. 

Please Note: As a government entity, the City of Pico Rivera is subject to public records laws. Be aware that all information submitted via email or through our websites may be subject to a public records request pursuant to the public records statutes.

To submit an e-Comment on this site Create a case, the following information is required:

  • Create an account or log in if you already have one
  • Full Name
  • Email
  • Contact Address (Optional) 
  • Phone Number (Optional)
  • Meeting Date 
  • Comment Type (Written Public Comment or Oral Public Comment) 
  • Attendance Method (Attending In-person or Attending Via Teleconference) 
  •  Acknowledgment of the Public Comment Guidelines 

Only your full name will be displayed on the publicly accessible website. All other personal information along with your comment will become part of the public record and shared with the City Council. 

Moderation

All comments will be moderated and will not be published on the publicly accessible website if they contain any of the following material:

  • Profanity
  • Inflammatory, threatening or abusive language
  • Personal attacks
  • False identification of the commenter
  • Language or concepts deemed to be offensive or demonstrably false
  • Language promoting or advertising businesses, services, events, organizations or political candidates or issues

If your comment is not approved and not published, you will receive notification and can submit a revised comment.
